Apette in attività - Busy being buzzy bees

Dopo un tempo infinitamente lungo ecco ricamato il mio regalo di compleanno... Be Yourself di Lizzie Kate.

It took me quite long but I've finally finished stitching my birthday present... Bee Yourself by Lizzie Kate.

Colori dalla mia collezione di avanzi, ali delle api con DMC Light Effects. La cornice è un po' troppo grande... sono alla ricerca della giusta stoffa di contorno.

Colors from my stash, wings stitched using DMC Light Effects. I think the frame looks too empty... I'm still looking for the perfect fabric to fit in.

Il tempo vola - Time flies

Questi ultimi giorni sono stati impegnatissimi e non abbiamo avuto un attimo di tregua! Tra il Battesimo di Pulcino e la prima settimana di inserimento alla scuola materna di Pulcina, tutto condito da un caldo caldissimo che ci costringe a barricarci al fresco in mansarda una settimana è volata via in un lampo.

The last few days have been very busy and we haven't had any time to rest. My baby boy was baptized on Sunday and my girl spent her first week at the kindergarten along with me. This hot weather have us shut up in the children's bedroom with the air conditioner on and the whole week has gone before we realized.

Non ci sono molti progressi in campo creativo. Ho terminato il mio ricamo di Madame Chantilly, Ah l'amour (foto in alto), e ne sono orgogliosissima. Ho sbagliato a posizionare la gabbia e sono stata troppo pigra per disfarla. Mea culpa.

Time for crafting was very little. I finished stitching Ah l'amour by Madame Chantilly (picture above) and I love it. Even if I placed the cage wrong and was too lazy to unstitch it. Completely my fault.

Non appena avrò terminato gli altri progetti in corso d'opera mi dedicherò anche a Polka Dots Matrioska, adoro i pois, non so resistere!!!!!!!! Spero di farcela per questo autunno...

As soon as I'm done with my current WIPs I'm pretty sure I'll be stitching Polka Dots Matrioska. I have a soft spot for polka dots, I really can't resist! Maybe this fall...

Nel frattempo ho anche cominciato la seconda tappa del Sal 4 seasons de Il Coniglio nel Cappello... molto mooooolto lentamente! 

I've also started the second part of the 4 seasons Sal hosted by Il Coniglio nel Cappello. Very very slooooooowly.

Sushi e dinosauri - Sushi and dinosaurs

Uomo è diventato vecchio questo fine settimana e abbiamo deciso di celebrare la sua veneranda età con una due giorni di festeggiamenti a sorpresa naturalmente! Sabato abbiamo aperto le danze incoronandolo con uno splendido copricapo realizzato da Pulcina, poi lo abbiamo fatto salire in macchina, zaino pronto e meta sconosciuta. Dopo un lungo girovagare siamo arrivati alla prima tappa: ristorante giapponese! Pulcina era supereccitata non appena ha visto le bacchette del suo amatissimo Panda. Sushi a volontà e puntatina sul lungo Adda. Una volta a casa, taglio della torta e regali!!!!!!

Man turned pretty old this weekend, so we decided to throw him a two-day surprise party to celebrate his respectful age. On Saturday we crowned him with an awesome crown entirely made by my little girl.After that we had him jump into the car, backpack ready and destination unknown. We had him drive around a little bit before taking him to the first stop-over: Japanese restaurant. Becca was superexcited to use chopsticks as her beloved Kung-Fu Panda does. We ate an unbelievable amount of sushi and then we had a walk on the riverside. When we came back , a home baked birthday cake and a couple of gifts were expecting our beloved Daddy.

Ma non finisce assolutamente qui! Domenica siamo partiti di buon ora e abbiamo accompagnato papà al Parco della preistoria di Rivolta d'Adda... così da fargli salutare i suoi coscritti dinosauri!!!!! Abbiamo trascorso una giornata piacevolissima e Pulcina si è divertita a dare da mangiare a cerbiatti e caprette e dare spettacolo nell'area giochi. Ci siamo rilassati tutti e quattro!

But the party wasn't over yet! On Sunday we left early and took Man to the Prehistoric Park in Rivolta d'Adda, so that he could say hello to someone so old as he is: dinosaurs! The day was amazing and my girl had a lot of fun, fed fawns and goats and played a lot in the playground. We all had  time to enjoy our stay and relax.
