Il paradiso esiste ed è a Bergamo - I found heaven and it's in Bergamo

I found heaven, sweet heaven baby, on the wings of love.... La citazione dei miei amati Take That è quasi d'obbligo. Il paradiso è a Bergamo, due volte l'anno, una in primavera e una in autunno e quest'anno ci siamo state anche io e Pulcina!!!! Si tratta di Creattiva, la meravigliosa fiera delle arti manuali alla quale, dopo una serie di sfortunati eventi sempre alla vigilia dell'inaugurazione (caviglie slogate, ginocchia non collaborative, febbri da cavallo, stampelle, piogge di meteoriti e buchi neri), avevo rinunciato a partecipare. Dopo la lezione in piscina, io e la mia cucciola ci siamo fatte portare in fiera dai nostri uomini e si sono aperte le porte del paese delle meraviglie. A ogni angolo c'era qualcosa da guardare e i quilt esposti erano di una bellezza commovente, tanto magnificenti e perfetti che gli occhi mi si riempivano di lacrime. Gli stand erano tutti fantastici ma il nostro preferito è senza dubbio Country Dolls: i colori vivaci e i pois sono il mio punto debole e ci siamo aggiudicate uno sfiziosissimo collo giallo e il cartamodello per una bambolona.

Tra i nostri favoriti anche Romanticamente Country: Rebecca si è innamorata delle bambole con i tutù, dei cigni e delle sirene. Qui abbiamo acquistato il cartamodello della bambola Viviana e non vediamo l'ora che anche gli altri siano disponibili online per realizzarli nel corso dell'anno. Una piacevolissima sorpresa è stato lo stand ceco di tessuti Bellus Gallery, abbiamo fatto man bassa e ci siamo portate a casa ben cinque metri di stoffa. Entrambe ci siamo concesse un regalino, la bambola collana di AnnRose per me e uno stampo per biscotti a forma di cup-cake per la cucciola. Un ringraziamento particolare ai ragazzi del Credito Bergamasco per il baby parking: baby dance, lavoretti e un trucca bimbi da favola. La mia bambina si è divertita tantissimo e io ho potuto tirare il fiato per un'oretta e vedere anche gli aspetti tecnici delle cose che più mi interessavano. Che dire? Tanti progetti da fare e appuntamento segnato in agenda per l'edizione autunnale dal 6 al 9 ottobre.

I found heaven, sweet heaven baby, on the wings of love... I really have to quote my beloved Take That today. Heaven comes to Bergamo, twice a year, once in spring and once in fall, and my girl and I eventually got to visit Creattiva, the National craft show in our home town. I tried several time to get there in the past but due to a series of unfortunate events (sprained ankle, knees not cooperating, fever too hot to get out, meteor showers and black holes) I decided to give up.

This year, after the kids' swimming lesson, our men drove us to the convention center and the doors to wonderland finally opened. I didn't know where to look as everything was marvellous, I saw quilts so beautiful and magnificent that brought me to tears. All stands were interesting but the one that conquered our heart was without any doubt Country Dolls: I have a thing for strong colors and Polka Dots, so I bought a yellow collar and a big doll pattern plus body fabric. One of our favorites was also Romanticamente Country: Rebecca fell in love with the dolls in tutus, swans and mermaids. We came back with the Viviana Doll Pattern and we can't wait for the others to be online as soon as Viviana is ready. The fabric stand we liked most was Bellus Gallery from the Czech Republic, we brought home 5 meters fabric: quality was excellent and price sooooo good. We also treated ourselves with little gifts, a doll necklace by AnnRose for me and a cup cake cookie cutter for Becca.

I really have to thank all the staff working at the Credito Bergamasco stand: the activities for the kids were fun and Becca really enjoyed them all (and I had a chance to spend an hour alone and have a look at more technical stuff). What more can I say? I now have plenty to work on and I've already saved the date for the next show from October 6th to October 9th. I love Creattiva.
